Baron de Brane

Margaux, Second Wine of Château Brane-Cantenac

Baron de Brane is the elegant second wine of Château Brane-Cantenac, the revered Second Growth estate in Margaux. Named in honour of Baron Hector de Brane—known as the “Napoléon of the Vineyards”—this cuvée reflects the same finesse and aromatics that define the Grand Vin, in a more approachable and early-drinking expression.

Sourced from younger vines and select parcels across the estate’s prized gravel terroir, Baron de Brane blends Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc in a style that’s fresh, supple, and classically Margaux. Expect red and black fruit, hints of violet and cedar, and polished tannins that glide through a mineral-driven finish.

With its balance, charm and pedigree, Baron de Brane offers a compelling entry point into one of the Médoc’s finest terroirs. Drink now or cellar comfortably over the next 5–8 years.
