Cat & Frank Pinot Noir 2024

Cat & Frank Pinot Noir 2024

A father daughter combination that is turning heads. Produced by Catia D'anna under the guidance of her father Franco D'anna who's wines have been described as 'world class'. Have made something seriously special here, personally speaking this has become my favourite pinots purely because I don't believe that there is a better pinot on the market at that $30 price point. Even being described as something that 'At $30 a pop, this [Cat and Frank Pinot Noir 2024] drinks like something far more superior. Talk about value.' by Kara Monssen.

Tasting Notes: Fruit sourced from Upper Yarra, near the Woori Yallock district. Nose shows typical upper Yarra characteristics with perfume, lifted florals, spice, some glazed cherries and well integrated oak. The palate delivers an array of finely balanced tannins, complimented by a line of acidity and rounded off with structured fruit.

Red cherry, raspberry, rosehip, a little spice, liquorice root – lovely perfume. It’s light to medium-bodied, crisp, all bright red fruit, a bit of a ‘mineral’ thing here, fine grip to pumice stone tannin, and excellent length of flavour. Fine and brightly lit. I really like this. So nice to drink. -93+ Points
