
Chateau Haut Brion Premier Grand Cru 2018
Well prior to the 1855 classification of Bordeaux, Chateau Haut-Brion was renowned for its quality and style. In 1787, when Thomas Jefferson visited the region, he noted the quality of wines in the region, establishing his own hierarchy that placed Chateau Haut-Brion, Chateau Latour, Chateau Margaux and Chateau Lafite in a class of the own. Later, this group were given First Growth status, with Haut-Brion remaining the only estate outside of the Medoc to be awarded this honour.
The 2018 vintage comprises 48% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc, 40% Cabrenet Sauvignon and 1%v Petit Verdot.
