About the Wine:
2006 was an early, warm Yarra Valley vintage with low rainfall, producing smaller crops packed with flavour. This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, grown, made and bottled at the Lance family’s Diamond Valley vineyard a name long associated with elegance, balance and quietly exceptional wines.
After 19 years of maturity, the wine opens with savoury cedar and mocha aromatics, followed by dark cherry fruit, black pepper, a touch of leather, and spicy oak. True to the Diamond Valley style, it shows balance, length and layered complexity, unfolding beautifully with air.
