Blended from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, Pessac-Léognan wines are beautifully balanced with fine-grained structured tannins, and exhibit classic notes of tobacco, cassis, dark cherry, leather and tar, as well as a distinctive minerality.
After blending, the wines are aged for 18 months in oak barrels, 50 to 65% of which are renewed each year. A predominance of Cabernet Sauvignon produces distinguished wines with a substantial capacity to age, that are always much in demand thanks to their suppleness and balance.
